The following pictures show how I converted an niche, in our family room, into a built in Computer cabinet that does double duty as a curio cabinet when the computer is resting.

This project is made out of Red Oak with a splattering of Purple Heart for accent.

With this project I elected to scratch out a few rough sketches on paper but my design never matured until I was actually in construction. I built the unit in two pieces, upper and Lower boxes at different times. unfortunately the walls weren't square so a lot of tweaking went on in-place.

Well - enough talk, here are the pictures of the cabinet with all components in their closed (curio) and open positions!

This unit is over 24" deep!
